Our Counterstrain Physical Therapist will assess, prescribe and treat each client with a wide range of assessment tools & techniques based off the Counterstrain approach. Our physical therapists are licensed in the state of WA and as per State of Washington Regulation we will evaluate your case every 30 days while to ensure that progress is being achieved.

Alex graduated from Andrew’s University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree in 1998. He has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings which includes inpatient neuro rehab, outpatient pediatrics and in-home pediatrics. His last 16 years have been spent working in outpatient physical therapy. In 2008 Alex became board certified in the Strain Counterstrain Technique. Since that time, he has also pursued advanced training in Fascial Counterstrain. He believes that physical therapy should not have to hurt in order to work, and that it should be quick and effective. Alex enjoys working with chronic pain patients and has seen a significant improvement in many of their lives due to his specialized approach. He also believes that every patient has the potential to get better. Alex’s interests include volleyball and basketball, as well as woodworking and spending time with his family.

Becky graduated from Andrew’s University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree in 1999. She received her Manual Therapy Certification in 2008 through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and her Pilates Mat Instructor Certification in 2012. Becky is passionate about the detective work that goes into assessing a diverse range of orthopedic injuries and enjoys providing high-quality individualized care so that clients can return to an active lifestyle quickly. Her approach aims at restoring natural joint mobility and integrating Pilates for deep core strength and return to functional activity. She especially enjoys working with cancer recovery patients and is trained in lymphedema care and manual lymphatic drainage. She specializes in all orthopedic injuries including sacroiliac joint disorders and emphasizes return to optimal mobility and strengthening in best possible alignment to maintain gains. Treatment is always tailored on returning patients to the activities they love. Becky is an outdoor enthusiast and has run in several half marathons. Other interests include watercolor and oil painting, stained glass art, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
